Furniture Pieces You Need In Your Home

The occasional chair

In the 21st century, people are able to change furniture elements just like they change their clothes: seasonally, by wish, or by trend. And the online shopping experience makes this so much easier; you just look for it online, pick your preference and buy it. People deliver it to your home and even help you assemble it. How easy is that? Having in mind this possibility, I bet you’re tempted to go online and search for a new sofa or a new coffee table to place on your balcony. Sure, why not, but have in mind that some furniture pieces are considered an investment, and you can’t simply go online and get something so important only by looking at its picture. That would be a terrible mistake. I mean, sure you can go and buy outdoor day beds just by looking at their photo, because these you will place out on your spacious patio and move them eventually, but can you do the same with the sofa for the living room? I don’t think so. So following this logic, I thought of the 5 furniture pieces you need to have in your home all the time:

1. A side table

Your living room will never be complete without a side table. A good, small and cute side table that goes perfectly with your sofa is an essential piece for complementing the look of your living room. Sure you can mix styles and colours, and even materials, but make sure they can be combined properly. Plus, a side table must be without a back, because if it has a back it will only look good against a wall.

2. A bench

It doesn’t do the same function as outdoor day beds do, but it comes close. A fancy bench is a good choice for both indoors and outdoors. Not just that it offers extra seating where needed, a bench can add character, colour and sculpture to your living space.

3. A dresser

It’s a needed piece of furniture. Like, really needed. Dressers are no longer reserved only for the bedroom and no longer present large boxes with doors and shelves in it. They can be smaller and far more cuter and placed everywhere; the kitchen, the hallway, the bathroom.

4. The occasional chair

The occasional chair is an interesting piece of furniture and like it or not, everyone ones one. It’s the one chair you have because it was so good looking you couldn’t resist to buy it. And it doesn’t really match your entire design. But, it’s here and you use it to break monotony and add that extra seating when you need it. Plus, the occasional chair can be used instead of outdoor day beds; that chair is mainly large and very comfortable, perfect for placing it in the sun and sun bathing.

5. The demilune table

This table does not exactly serve the purpose; it adds another usable surface, but it’s so small you literally can’t do anything on it. But, it’s great as a decoration, and perfect for placing it in front of a large window, so you can sit and enjoy a good book or have a cup of tea.
