How Kitchen Cloth Took Paper’s Spot

To clean the mess in the kitchen you need proper cleaning products. Most people use paper towels; it is more practical compared to, let’s say, microfiber or cotton cloth. You can just wipe the surface and throw dirty paper in the trash, without having to wash it. You do save time on your cleaning chores, but what about the money?

To give you a picture of how much you actually spend on the “convenient” paper towel, here’s a rough estimate – one paper towel costs around $1.50 and it will last you probably less than a week. On a yearly basis, it comes down to over $100 spent. Now compare this to $4 spent on a microfiber cloth with which you can clean all year long. So, to conclude: in the long run, cloths are a wiser choice than paper; you can reuse one cleaning cloth over and over, if it is of higher quality of course.

There are two things that are important – one is choosing the best kitchen cloth, the other is having enough of them. Generally, microfiber is considered as the best kitchen cloth since it has the power to remove the toughest stains, dirt, limescale and stubborn marks without causing damage to the surface. It is a long lasting solution since it can be washed over and over again by hand or in a washing machine.

Not all cloths are created equal – some are better, some not so much. Take time to research a bit on popular cleaning product brands and to read other consumers’ reviews to see which microfiber cloth offers value for the money. Remember, you get what you pay for, meaning the cheaper the cloth, the lower the quality, thus it will not last you as long. The best kitchen cloth are usually made of smaller nylon fibers which can easily pick up and trap dirt and other particles. They can also be hand or machine washed. Just make sure you use a mild detergent and avoid fabric softeners as this can cause damage to fibers and shorten the lifespan of the cloth.

Do not wash the microfiber cloths with cotton clothing because the fibers will grab onto the lint. Also, air dry your microfiber cloths. If you do want to put them in the dryer, make sure you use the low heat or no heat setting.

Microfiber cloth are readily available offline and online. If you want to save some cash and time as well, it is better to shop online. Not only will you be able to browse the offers of many different cleaning products brands, retailers and/or supplier in the short time, but you will also be able to compare prices and read customer reviews and purchase the best kitchen cloth for your needs.
